Rossmoyne Senior High School is one of Perth’s most sought-after public high schools, but their street frontage did not reflect this. Working with the school’s facility managers, Programmed, Danthonia designed this monolithic curved entry statement to give the school the exposure it deserves.
Because it’s nearly 11 metres long, the sign was fabricated in two pieces to allow trucking across Australia from northern NSW to Rossmoyne. The sign has a tough exterior designed to make rocks, sticks, and kicks rebound instead of denting or breaking the sign’s surface. It also has a permanent anti-graffiti coating.
