Barcaldine Regional Council was looking for a truly iconic entry statement for the town of Alpha, and turned to Danthonia Designs to fabricate this whimsical design.
Themed on Alpha’s reputation as the “Gateway to the West”, this two-piece entry sign flanks the highway to form a ‘gate’ welcoming visitors to the Outback. The sign reflects its country heritage with rusted corrugated iron accents, and the historic steam trains which helped pioneer the region.
