Merredin Town Entry signs

$0.00
Western Australia’s wheat belt is a vast region extending around Perth, and produces a diverse range of produce in addition to the grain which gives it its name. Much of the region’s wheat comes from the area surrounding the small town of Merredin. This inspired Merredin Shire Council’s motto “Innovating the Wheatbelt.”

When it was time to look at fresh town entry signage that celebrates the town’s agricultural heritage while strongly communicating the progressive brand, Council approached Danthonia and this stunning concept was born. Concentric circles suggesting circular irrigation seem to extend from the sign, and intersect with lines echoing train tracks, highways and even jet trails.

The signs are frangible to ensure the safety of motorists on the state-controlled road.
