*NOTE: These are instructions are for the version of PowerPoint included in Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016

1. Create a new PowerPoint presentation.

2. Select 'Design'.

3. Select ‘Slide Size’ then ‘Custom Slide Size’.

4. In the Slide Size dialogue box, set the slide width and height to 10% of your LED sign's size (in pixels). Your sign's size is shown at the top of all its playlists in the heading 'Sign Layout ( [sign size] )'. For example,160 x 96px becomes16.0 x 9.6. Keep the other settings the same and click OK.

5. Design the slides, keeping the content simple and the number of words to a minimum.
   *TIP: Text size in slides should be 44 points or larger. Smaller text will not look good on the LED sign. Use stronger sans serif or serif fonts, rather than script or fonts with thin characters.

If you would like to upload your PowerPoint as separate slides to your LED sign, export the slides as individual image files:

1. Select 'File'

2. Select 'Export'

3. Select 'Change File Type'

4. Select 'PNG Portable Network Graphics' (colours look best and text is clearest on an LED sign).

5. Select ‘Save As…’ and follow the prompts.

6. Once all your images are saved, Select 'Actions' and 'Add Image' under 'Playlist Media Items' in the LED sign software to upload each image to your playlist.

If you would like to upload your PowerPoint as a slide-show type presentation, export it as a WMV video. (this allows you to use PowerPoint transition effects like moving text or images superimposed on a background color/image, and you can embed videos into the presentation.):

1. Select 'File'

2. Select 'Save & Send'

3. Select 'Create a Video'

4. Change ‘Presentation Quality’ to ‘Low Quality’ in the dropdown

5. Select 'Create Video' to export to a WMV file.

6. Once the video has saved, play the WMV file on your computer first, to make sure the file works.

7. Select 'Actions' and 'Add Video' under 'Playlist Media Items' on the LED sign software, and upload the WMV file to your playlist.
