Trinity Beach State School LED Sign

Danthonia supplied this school LED sign for Trinity Beach State School, which is in Cairns. The school is located near the beach for which it’s named.

The sign is constructed of suitable materials for its coastal location – marine-grade aluminium posts and sign panel that won’t rust, Dulux weathershield paint graphics that won’t fade and 3D elements sculpted from High Density Urethane, a weather- and insect-resistant timber substitute.

The electronic display is no exception. Tiles rated at IP67 make up an LED display which could literally be submerged up to one metre in water without allowing water ingress. Danthonia LED signs are known to have weathered direct hits from North Queensland cyclones, unscathed. A no-fans thermal management system cools the display naturally, avoiding noisy fans which would pull more moist, salty air through the sign. This system contributes to a longer life span, making the sign a smart investment for the school.
