Classic Quarterboard History

Nineteenth-century sailing ships displayed their names on decoratively carved and painted wood signs called quarterboards. When a ship's captain retired and went ashore he would acquire the quarterboard and place it on his house for all to admire.

USSC Awards 2010

It's Spring again - in Australia - the season when the United States Sign Council judges the entries for their annual sign competition. For a second consecutive year, three of our signs were awarded first place in their respective categories.

Moree Plains Shire Council
1st Place - Ground Signs (external illumination)

One of a system of signs fabricated for Moree Plains Shire, known as 'Artesian Water Country', because of the hot mineral springs in the region.

A British-style Pub Sign with a Antipodean twist. A well-known watering hole in the Gold Coast area.
