Classic Quarterboard History

Nineteenth-century sailing ships displayed their names on decoratively carved and painted wood signs called quarterboards. When a ship's captain retired and went ashore he would acquire the quarterboard and place it on his house for all to admire.

Online Sign Designer is 'Cool'

It's official - CyberAspect.com (a website about websites) has given The Sign Designer a 'Cool Website Award'.

We always thought so, but there's nothing like a bit of assurance from somebody else. We've noticed that an ever-increasing number of other people enjoy playing around with it, too.
