Bollon State School

  • Our new school sign was installed by a couple of capable dads at a working bee. From the moment it went up, it has created much interest. Our main reason for choosing Danthonia is that we wanted to make a statement to passers-by and those entering the school – “this school is a quality educational establishment”.

A lot can be determined about a school simply by walking in the front gate and part of that experience is walking past the school sign. Our sign is: welcoming, looks professional and is informative.

    Bollon State School

Ever since 1885 when Bollon State School opened their ‘bark hut and dirt floor’ facilities, the school has been about quality education. In spite – or maybe because – they are a small school Bollon provides a high quality education for students. Everything about Bollon State School’s new message board sign reflects this quality. The classic design and three-dimensional school crest coupled with a magnetic message board makes this school sign at once functional and attractive. Usually, schools ask us to spray their signs with a graffiti resistant coating. We use Graffiti Buster 200, one of the toughest coatings on the market, also used by Sydney Rail for their train stations. Applying this tough two-pack polyurethane coating is pretty much standard, but we left it off the Bollon State Schools sign – they are a good eight or nine hours drive due west of Brisbane.
