Piara Waters Primary School Factions Signs

  • Our new Faction Logo signs from Danthonia Designs were installed last week on Friday, right in time for our school Athletics Carnival. The signs created an excellent backdrop for the day, with our students feeling excited and proud to be part of something new.

Our school consulted with our community, staff and students who chose the theme for our factions to represent our local Indigenous histories, cultures and perspectives. We teamed up with Norlap Creative who assigned a young Indigenous artist, Rory Charles, to create the logos and develop stories behind each logo, which are amazing.

This process is part of our schools journey to align with the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework, developed by the Department of Education. We are excited to showcase our faction logos and proud of the stories and meanings behind them.

Danthonia Designs felt privileged to help Piara Waters Primary School’s school faction stories come to life on these bright and durable signs. The signs are constructed of tough aluminium with UV-resistant high-grade printed vinyl graphics that will look great for years, even in the harsh Australian sun.
