Bathurst RC entry statements

  • A town is defined by its entry sign. If it is rundown or ineffective, it reflects on the town and tells you, this place is not focused on the tourist's experience. Driving through the Blue Mountains recently I took note of the entry signs I passed and concluded that our new Danthonia Designs entry statements stand out. They look fresh, different and contemporary. They add to the identity of Bathurst as a unique destination, committed to welcoming and taking care of its visitors.

Bathurst is Australia's oldest inland settlement and 2015 is our bicentenary. The new entry signs had to be installed in time for the celebrations next year, and I needed to be certain that the job would be done properly and well. I couldn't afford to take risks. A few of us committee members were familiar with Danthonia Designs and knew what we could expect from them: a quick, streamlined process and a high quality product.

We looked at plenty of quality tenders, but none of them gave the assurance of experience and expertise that Danthonia's did. They supported their proposal with convincing evidence of signage they have made for other councils. Working with Danthonia is easy - at every stage of the project, the team made sure that the whole job was a smooth process for us.

The response from the community and council has been enthusiastic: "Great signs!" The quality is fantastic, they are just the right size and the reflective main text makes great night time visibility.

Bathurst is a vibrant regional city located just a few hours drive west of Sydney. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the best of country life with all the conveniences and facilities of modern living.

The main town entrance signs were in disrepair. Council needed something new and fresh to send an inviting message to visitors and residents. Danthonia's sign service, which includes design, fabrication, installation and superb customer service, made this daunting project a painless process. Since Danthonia is a prequalified supplier to Council with Procurement Australia, the purchasing process was greatly simplified. The result was a set of contemporary new welcome signs, with more to follow.
