Glen Innes Seventh-Day Adventist Church Sign

GLEN INNES SEVENTH DAY Adventist Church is a rural Christian congregation in New South Wales who welcome visitors to their many programs for all ages. These include activities for children and youth groups, small group bible studies, church services, free lunches, advice for healthy living, depression counselling, Christian satellite TV, church radio station, and marriage preparation.

The Seventh Day Adventist Church has over 14 million members in 200 countries worldwide. Active in many areas of social work, the church operates schools, hospitals and agencies that work in development and relief. This is because the members believe that, not only do people the world over have spiritual needs, but social and physical needs must be met as well, and the two go hand in hand.

When they needed a new sign, the congregation in Glen Innes decided to purchase an entrance statement for their church that would welcome visitors and be a personal fit for their particular group. This church’s distinctive sign reflects their Celtic heritage, with painted Celtic knots forming a painted border around the entire sign. The main text and logo was incise carved using hand chisels and gilded with both 23kt gold leaf and palladium. Other text was carved and painted with the highest quality exterior acrylic paint.
